Interests

With over 40 years of experience in hospitality, retail and social care in Kent, I own three hotels, three care homes and three retail businesses across the county. I am committed to investing in Kent, creating local employment and supporting the communities in which we operate. Our recent acquisition of Terlingham Vineyard is an exciting opportunity to contribute further to Kent’s thriving food, wine and visitor economy. We aim to develop the vineyard as a welcoming destination that champions local produce, supports tourism and community engagement, and places sustainable business practices at the heart of its long-term growth. My interests also include education, social care and sport, particularly football and cricket, as ways to strengthen community connections and opportunity.

Through four decades of business ownership and involvement in Kent, including three hotels, three care homes, three retail businesses and our recent acquisition of Terlingham Vineyard, I have established strong relationships across hospitality, tourism, retail, care and the wider local business community. Terlingham Vineyard offers a further opportunity to connect Kent’s producers, hospitality businesses and visitors, encourage local partnerships and promote responsible, sustainable growth. I am a member of the British Asian Trust, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and hold MABE membership. I also maintain links with Sri Lanka. I would be pleased to draw on these connections to support Kent Ambassadors, showcase Kent and help create lasting benefits for local communities.
